We are so excited to kick off our 2025 Summer Basketball League! Last year’s season was a huge success; we can’t wait to build on that momentum this upcoming summer. Our league isn’t just about basketball—it's about building life skills, creating lasting memories, and empowering young athletes to excel on and off the court.
A Look Back at Last Year’s Success
The Summer Basketball League has proven a fantastic opportunity for our community's youth. Last year, we saw tremendous growth in individual skill levels and team cohesion. Players developed a deep camaraderie while pushing each other to reach new heights. Whether on the court or in life, our participants learned the value of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline.
What Our Program Helps Students Build:
Teamwork & Collaboration: Basketball is a team sport, and our league teaches participants the importance of working together toward a common goal.
Leadership & Confidence: From on-the-spot decisions to motivating teammates, our league fosters leadership skills and self-confidence in young athletes.
Sportsmanship & Respect: On and off the court, players learn what it truly means to win humbly, lose gracefully, and show respect to teammates, coaches, and opponents.
Physical Fitness & Discipline: Players improve their physical fitness and learn the importance of discipline, focus, and hard work—skills that translate well beyond the basketball court.
This summer, we are excited to continue developing these essential life skills and creating an environment where players can thrive, have fun, and grow in the game they love.
This program is funded through the Delaware Criminal Justice Council by the
Department of Services for Children, Youth, and Their Families, Division of
Prevention and Behavioral Health.
