The Delaware Black Awards were established in 2008 to publicly promote and highlight some of the best African American Businesses, Community Organizations, and Individuals in the state of Delaware. The goal is generate exposure for the award winners & nominees while encouraging the community and youth who aspire to become Delaware's future Business and Community Leaders!

The Award is a symbol of respect and admiration that will be given to a select identified few. Award recipients were nominated in multiple categories which we felt were important to the community and selected based on the popular vote.
This year the 2009 DELAWARE BLACK AWARDS honored DUFFY'S HOPE, INC. as its winner for BEST NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION of 2009.
